So, I'm making small talk with my neighbour, mentioning the fact that I just went to the "Kamer van Koophandel" to get registered.

"I have very old knives" she says. Probably not worth a sharpening...

Au contraire! You've had these knives for this long, for a reason. They probably feel nice in your hand and you use them daily. It doesn't have to be all that fancy to cut well. As long as you get a good feeling inside, gliding through your piece of fish/meat/vegetable.

Before you decide to replace a trusty servant, have me sharpen it once. You'll see what I'm on about. Really.
